KSBoychoir Festival
Instructions for Parents

Your son has been selected to sing in the KSBoychoir Festival, which will culminate in a concert of over 200 boys. Yes, ALL BOYS and ONLY BOYS!

The Keystone State Boychoir’s annual KSBoychoir Festival is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018 at the First Presbyterian Church in Germantown. The Festival leaders are Joseph Fitzmartin and Steven Fisher, Music Director and Associate Director of the Keystone State Boychoir, both of whom are highly-respected in the world of children’s choirs and recognized as experts in the area of boychoirs.

Festival Singers should have already “found their singing voices” and be able to match pitch successfully and consistently throughout the treble range. The festival is for boys who love to sing AND who sing well in a choral setting. The Festival is for boys who have unchanged voices.  It may be that a boy’s voice has begun to change but he can still access his treble voice. A boy whose voice has already begun to change may only participate if he is able to sing all of the Festival repertoire in his unchanged voice.

The participation cost for each singer is $40, which includes music, meals, snacks, and a festival t-shirt. Parents are responsible for registering their singers online, which includes paying the online registration fee. (A credit card will be necessary to complete the registration process.) After completing the registration you will be directed to the payment page on the KSBoychoir Festival website. The Festival Choir is limited to the first 100 boys who register by January 20, 2018.

If your son’s school is covering the registration fees for participating singers, or if you’re submitting your payment to your singer’s Music Educator so that one check can be written from the school, all you have to do is complete the registration form.

If your singer’s Music Educator is completing both the registration and payment, you will be asked to fill out a hard copy of the Singer Information form so that your son’s information can be input online by his Music Educator.

If you are in need of a scholarship in order for your son to participate, please contact Martha Platt, Commonwealth Youthchoirs Managing Director, at If you do not have a credit card, please contact Commonwealth Youthchoirs office 215-849-1762 or
